The digital files that I mainly find important are my videos from anime and TV series, games, pictures of family and friends, academic related files, and memes.

They are located as follows on this table:

For the files I have on my local storage, external drive, tablet, and phone such as my games, videos, academics, and memes, I feel that damage to those storage mediums could prevent me from accessing them in the future. As for files I have on Cloud storage, like pictures of family and friends, the sudden shut down of the cloud service, loss of internet service, or simply the lack of mediums to access the cloud storage could prevent me from being able to access them.

For the storage devices prone to damage, I feel the best way to mitigate the chance of being unable to access that data is to periodically upload backups of the files to cloud services as well. The opposite can be said for cloud services; whatever I solely save on a cloud service should be periodically downloaded onto a cheap but still external drive, possibly something like an optical drive like CDs and DVDs, while more reliable options like passport drives can be used for more important files. However, files like my games can freely be ignored when backing up files, as they can still be freely downloaded again through services like Steam and Epic.
